HP – this name is synonymous throughout the world with high-quality IT hardware such as PCs, laptops and printers. Now the range is being expanded under this brand name to include office technology products. GO Europe GmbH, based in Hattingen, Germany, has secured the exclusive distribution rights for the shredders and laminators. An overview of the products on offer is now available on the new website hp.com/officeequipment
The wide range addresses different user requirements
The first six shredders are already available in stores, and will be followed by laminators and other shredder models in March. The newly developed devices feature the design and colour language of HP Inc. and are each offered in two product lines. The "OneShred" and "OneLam" model ranges are available from online retailers and are intended for private households and smaller departments. The "Pro Shredder" and "Pro Laminator" product series, designed for professional use in offices, are sold by specialised dealers.
The shredder range, which includes 14 models, starts with a compact shredder that has a cutting capacity of eight sheets and a security level of P-4, while the largest device has a capacity of up to 24 sheets and a pull-out collection bin with a filling volume of 30 litres. There is a suitable solution for every user – including for the many of us who are currently working from home, as the shredders are all very quiet and ideally suited for use directly in the workplace. All shredders are innovative and intuitive to use. Shredder oil and oil sheets for the purposes of care and cleaning round off the range.
Similar to the shredders, the total of six different laminators will cover everything from the hobby sector and the home office, to professional use in companies. The top model advertised is a six-roll laminator with a very fast warm-up time and extremely high laminating speed. Matching HP laminating films will be available in mid-March as an Everyday series in online trade and at retailers and as a Premium version at specialist dealers.
High tractive force of the HP brand
"HP enjoys a high level of recognition and trust among users in the office segment," says Heinz Prygoda, Managing Director of GO Europe GmbH. "It is an absolute novelty to occupy these product categories with a top global brand from the IT segment. In terms of sales, this will open up brand-new opportunities for us in Germany and particularly abroad."
GO Europe GmbH was the result of the merger of GENIE GmbH & Co KG and Olympia Business Systems Vertriebs GmbH in early 2019. The office technology provider based in Hattingen, Germany has signed the licensing agreement with HP Inc. exclusively for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). "We are very confident that shredders and laminators under the HP brand name will soon become a permanent fixture in the office technology market. The initial feedback from samples and discussions with retailers have been extremely positive and promising," says Co-Managing Director Christian Gerth.
The HP brand complements the existing portfolio in the office sector, which includes the Genie, IOIO and Olympia brands. The products are sold in international office supply shops, non-food ranges of leading department stores and in online retail.
